Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the West Palm Beach Team Behind Alcott Chimney West Palm Beach
We’ve been sweeping and repairing chimneys across West Palm Beach since 2002, and the crew we send to your door hasn’t changed much in how we operate: background-checked, identity-verified, and announced to you by name and photo before we ever ring the bell. What unites this team isn’t a uniform or a slogan. It’s a shared refusal to recommend work you don’t need and a habit of showing up with a written price before anything gets touched. You’ll know exactly who’s on your roof and why they’re there.

Our People
Ruben Castellano, Owner
Ruben founded Alcott Chimney West Palm Beach in 2002 after years of watching other service companies treat honesty like a line item. He still shows up on job sites, still reads every inspection report before it reaches a customer, and still answers the phone when he’s needed. His approach is simple: if a flue has another season in it, he’ll tell you. If it doesn’t, he’ll show you the camera footage to prove it. Ruben has spent two decades building a reputation for saying the plain, sometimes inconvenient thing, and he expects every technician who carries the Alcott name to do the same. When he’s not in a crawl space or on a roof, he’s usually restoring something old enough to have a story.
Maya R., Lead Technician
Maya has been with Alcott Chimney West Palm Beach for nine years, and she’s the person we send when an inspection turns up something complicated. She holds certifications in chimney inspection and dryer exhaust systems, and she’s the crew’s go-to for HeatShield resurfacing and DuraFlex liner installs. Maya is known for two things on the job: she narrates what she’s seeing so you always know the “why” behind a recommendation, and she keeps an immaculately organized van despite working in one of the sootier trades there is. She’s originally from Orlando and still hasn’t gotten used to how much salt air West Palm Beach pushes through a chimney chase.
Dominic T., Senior Installer
Dominic has eleven years of hands-on fireplace and venting experience, most of it spent installing and rebuilding systems in the older homes around West Palm Beach, Flamingo Park, and El Cid. He’s our lead on full chimney rebuilds, crown repair, and gas fireplace service, and he’s particular about flashing, which in South Florida takes a beating from the afternoon storms. If Dominic tells you a chase cover needs replacement, he’ll show you the rust stains and water tracks on camera before he touches a single screw. He’s a Miami native, a father of three, and quietly convinced that no gas log set has ever been installed correctly by a big-box handyman.
Lena P., Service Coordinator
Lena is the voice on the phone for most of our West Palm Beach customers, and she’s been with the Threshold Group family of companies for six years. She coordinates scheduling, sends every customer the name and photo of their technician before arrival, and handles those late-night calls when something smells like smoke and someone needs a real person to talk to, not a voicemail queue. Lena knows the difference between a chimney question and a fire safety question, and she’ll never book a job without a written price in your hands first. She’s originally from Jupiter, she’s bilingual, and she’s the reason our schedule rarely misses a beat during the busy months before burning season.
Andre W., Apprentice Technician
Andre joined the crew two years ago as an apprentice and has worked under Maya and Dominic since day one. He’s currently completing his chimney inspection certification, and he already handles sweeping, crown sealing, and basic masonry repair under direct supervision. Andre is the youngest member of the team, which means he gets sent into the tightest attic spaces and the hottest West Palm Beach afternoons, and he handles both without complaint. He’s a Palm Beach County native who grew up in a house with a wood-burning fireplace that got swept once, maybe twice, in his whole childhood, which is exactly why he understands the work we do. He sees the camera footage, he writes the notes, and he’s learning to tell a customer straight when a fireplace can wait another season.
One Standard, Every Job
Every technician at Alcott Chimney West Palm Beach works under the same Threshold Standard, and it isn’t a slogan. Before anyone steps onto your property, they’ve passed a background check and identity verification. You’ll get their name and photo before the visit, and they’ll wear a photo ID badge at your door every single time. That standard holds whether you’re in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, or any of the other communities we serve. The written price before we start, the written guarantee on every repair, the free second visit if a repair fails within its coverage period: these aren’t optional upgrades or negotiable add-ons. They’re the baseline for every job, from a quick sweep to a full liner replacement. When Maya, Dominic, or Andre shows up, they represent more than a company name. They represent a promise we’ve kept since 2002: nothing gets recommended without camera evidence, and nobody gets surprised at the end of a job.
